¹Kafkas Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi İç Hastalıkları AD, Kars, TÜRKİYE Toxicities are life threatening common clinical problems encountered in small animal clinics and often requires urgent itntervention. This article deals with cliinical approaches to the poisoned animals from the initial telphone call by the owner to the submission, management monitoring and therapy of the patient in the emergency clinic. Addinonally sirnple intervennon procedure that can be performed by the owner before the admission of the patient, diagnostic procedures therapy regimens are also discussed. Common poisons their mode of action, systems system and organs involved, and treatment options are also summarised in a table in this article. Keywords : Toxicities small animal, emergency approach
